What are your studio hours / when can I book an appointment?

How is pricing determined?

Prices are by the piece, not hourly, and also have a half-day rate of $600 (5 hours) and a total day rate of $1000 (10 hours).Any tattoo that is less than 5 hours is priced by the piece (size, placement, detail).

Do you accept walk-ins, or is it by appointment only?

Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins are accepted subject to availability.

What should I do to prepare for my tattoo session?

To get the best outcome:

  • Avoid alcohol before your appointment
  • Get a good night’s sleep
  • Eat something hearty beforehand
  • Stay hydrated

What after-care should I follow?

After your session, we provide detailed aftercare instructions. Generally this includes: keeping the tattoo clean, using recommended ointments, avoiding direct sun and soaking (e.g. swimming) until fully healed. Following aftercare closely ensures proper healing and better long-term appearance.

Are you clean / is the studio hygienic?

Absolutely. We prioritize a safe, welcoming, and hygienic environment, following thorough sterilization and cleanliness standards.

How long have you been in business / what is your experience?

Blackhole Tattoo & Art started in June 2023. The artist has been tattooing professionally since 2016. We’ve also won a wide variety of awards including Best of Show at the 2024 Gem State Tattoo Convention.

Do you guarantee your work? What if I’m not happy with the tattoo?

We are committed to client satisfaction. If you have concerns about your tattoo, please contact us, and we’ll work with you to address the issue. Touch-ups (if needed and reasonable) may be discussed. (Note: permanent tattoos fade and change a bit as skin ages; following aftercare helps maintain quality.)

How do I submit ideas or reference images for my tattoo?

You can bring reference photos with you to your appointment or send them via email / contact form ahead of time. During a consultation we will discuss your vision, preferences (size, placement, style) and we’ll show you sketches or concepts before we begin.

Do you do cover-ups / cover old tattoos?

Yes, we do cover-ups. We can evaluate your existing tattoo to determine the best approach, design, and whether color, size, or shading adjustments are needed.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash, major credit and debit cards. If you need other arrangements, let us know ahead of time.

Do you require deposits?

Yes, for most appointments we require a deposit to book your spot (especially for larger, custom, or multi-session pieces). The deposit amount will often be applied toward the price of the tattoo.

How many sessions does a large tattoo take?

It depends on the size, complexity, and design detail. Some pieces may take only one session; others will be done in multiple sessions. We’ll estimate during consultation.
